The Tsaritsino estate operates as a museum and includes a great number of pavilions and palaces constructed especially for the empress, Ekaterina II. This large complex of palaces was designed a romantic gothic style, by Russia’s great architect, Bazhenov. During the 19th century, lovely park was created encompassing a group of ponds nearby.

Today, Tsaritsino in a restored museum-reserve and also a decorative monument to history and culture. It covers a tremendous area, considering that it is still in the city of Moscow, over 700 hectares. This is well worth seeing if you happen to be in the Moscow area. You can see many valuable architectural sites with historic connections to the village, ancient barrows from three thousand years ago to the beginning of the 12th century.

Our guide will show you museum exhibition with its rich collection of arts and crafts. You will be able to explore the most interesting places in this beautiful estate, such as:  The Large Palace, the Small Palace, the Opera House, the Cavalry Barracks hut, the «Khlebnye Gates» and some charming bridges. There is also a chance to attend regular concerts in the restored Opera House Hall.
